What to Expect on the Day of Your Massage

 

1 ) Before Arrival

Your massage therapist should arrive 15 minutess before your scheduled appointment. This will allow sufficient time for set up. Your therapist will need an open area to work in. Please pick a nice, quiet space within your home where they can set up.

 

2)  Upon Arrival

Your massage therapist will review your health intake form with you. This is your chance to really express your concerns or expectations of the massage. Areas you would like to see get extra attention, areas you don’t like to be touched, pressure, pace, and music are all open to discussion. The session is all about you, so don’t be afraid to voice your preferences.  

 

3) Preparing For Your Massage

Your therapist will exit the room while you get undressed to your comfort level. Unless otherwise instructed, you will lay under the top sheet on top of the massage table, either face-up or face-down as instructed. After washing their hands, your therapist will ask to re-enter the room when you are ready.

 

4) During Your Massage

Now enjoy, because you are in the skilled hands of a CannaBodyDirect professional. Your therapist has been trained to understand the body as a whole, and to understand the tight areas that are causing you pain. The customized session will address your concerns, and go beyond where you knew pain existed.  

 

5) After Your Massage

To show your therapist how much you appreciated their service, you may want to add gratuity.  It’s not expected, but an appreciated bonus. We believe tipping is based on quality of service, and generally recommend anywhere from 15-20%.

 



Tips for an Enjoyable Experience


1) Keep Breathing

It sounds simple, but most clients tend to hold their breath without even knowing it. Blood delivers oxygen to the muscles, allowing them to further relax. Your breath can help increase blood flow, especially when your therapist is working in a particularly tight area. If you feel a little discomfort, taking a deep breath at that moment will help you relax, and help your therapist work through those areas.


2) Practice Open Communication

It is important to understand that communicating through your session is completely acceptable. Do not be shy when you need to have pressure adjusted, or if you want to readjust your body on the table. You can trust that your therapist wants you to have the best massage possible. If you have concerns throughout the session, we welcome this discussion. 


3) Extend Your Session

You may be enjoying your session so much that time flies by, and before you know it, the massage is over. Remember, you can always ask to extend your session if you don’t want the bliss to end.


4) Consistency is Key

By booking consistent massage, there is no better way to take care of yourself and feel this good! Consistent massage will help build your immune system, increase your energy, and create a ripple effect of health across your entire life.
